Bull Market Continues for Independent Film Investors
There is no arguing, the pandemic was bad for a lot of people, a lot of industries, a lot of things. The movie industry took a massive hit that caused shut downs and closures of theaters and multiplexes globally. Even the biggest players like AMC and Regal Cinemas both dealing with financial set backs, bankruptcies and general uncertainty about the industry as a whole. For a couple of years there, it seemed like maybe seeing a movie in a theater might go the way of the Dodo.
FINALLY, movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Top Gun Maverick have shown that audiences can still be compelled to step back into a movie theater and there is more and more good news is that the Box Office is slowly creeping back to life.
After reading a recent issue of “The Film Entrepreneur: A Newsletter for Independent Filmmakers and Investors”, the future market for independent film looks very strong for at least the next two years. We wanted to share this positive financial outlook with you as more educated investors are looking to diversify their portfolios.
With the box office coming back to life, along with all the emerging ways indie filmmakers can get their film out in front of audiences that do not include traditional theatrical distribution, things are looking better and better for indie filmmakers to turn their films into profit for their investors and even better, they can keep making more movies on their own terms!
